Municipal recreation centers such as parks and fitness facilities play an extremely crucial role of providing easily-accessible health and wellness fitness equipment to local citizens of their respective communities throughout the entirety of the year. Many people depend upon municipal recreation centers to maintain or improve their overall health, well-being, and quality of life. As a result, it should be the goal of any one of these community fitness centers to be as inclusionary and encompassing as they can to appeal to anyone and everyone who values health and wellness, and maybe even educate those who currently don’t.
To be an inclusionary municipal fitness center, it is essential to offer a wide variety of cardio and strength training equipment to patrons of all fitness ability levels and ages. Treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals, free weights and dumbbells tend to be the most popular pieces of exercise equipment for our municipal rec center clients, as they cater to everyone no matter where they are in their fitness journey.
A community’s municipal recreation center is much more than just a gym- municipal fitness centers encourage participation and interaction amongst local citizens, while offering sponsorship and assets from the community. Advanced Exercise’s fitness center design consultants have worked with municipal recreation centers across the country, assisting them in constructing new fitness centers or revamping outdated ones, selecting the right gym equipment for the facility, creating a gym design plan that is most conducive for their space and more. Give Advanced Exercise a call today- we’re glad to answer any questions you may have in regards to your municipal recreation center!
Moore Rec Center
Designing an outstanding recreation center can be challenging at times because this type of facility is being put to use by members of all levels of fitness training from beginner to expert. We wanted to make certain that the complex was set up in a way that would allow members to feel comfortable in each area of the gym regardless of their fitness level. We were able to accomplish this by keeping the space very open and using a variety of equipment from Life Fitness and Hammer Strength. This state-of-the-art recreation center has a comprehensive cardio area with a variety of Life Fitness treadmills, cross trainers, PowerMill climbers, upright and recumbent bikes. The free weight area has commercial Olympic lifting racks from Hammer Strength. For the selectorized circuit, the City of Moore purchased the brand new Insignia line of strength which is the latest release from Life Fitness with top of the line features and unparalleled smoothness and biomechanics. Lastly, the facility is equipped with Lifecycle GX group bikes in the spin studio for an incredible group exercise class experience.
Town of Carbondale, Carbondale Recrecation Center. Carbondale, Colorado.
Eric Brendlinger. Recreation Center Manager.
In March of 2008 the Town of Carbondale opened the new Carbondale Recreation & Community Center. It was a project many years in the making and with the planners and designers from the start was Advanced Exercise’s local Colorado rep, Laura Emrich. We decided to purchase all of our exercise equipment from Advanced Exercise because Laura provided excellent customer service and state-of-the-art options for us, she worked well within the confines of our budget and adapted our fitness layout (numerous times) to answer the ever changing wants and wishes of various commissions ,town officials, ad-hoc committees and staff.
Advanced Exercise’s flexibility and stamina produced a dream workout facility for the citizens of Carbondale. Advanced Exercise’s ongoing equipment education and maintenance seminars are very valuable to first time recreation centers such as ours, but more importantly, Laura Emrich drops in and is always available to us, even after the sale! I can recommend highly the team at Advanced Exercise for your exercise equipment needs.
City of Chandler, Tumbleweed Recreation. Chandler, Arizona.
Sara Rathsack. Recreation Superintendent.
I am pleased to give Advanced Exercise and Life Fitness a glowing reference for anyone looking to purchase fitness equipment. Franci Alberding was very helpful in working with the Tumbleweed Recreation Center (TRC), which is operated by the City of Chandler. Franci has been very understanding regarding the government purchasing guidelines and very willing to work within those guidelines.
I have worked at several recreation facilities in Arizona, California, and Illinois and Life Fitness products are always the piece of equipment that outlasts the others. Working with Franci with the City of Chandler, has been a pleasure. Her follow-through and expertise were instrumental in the Grand Opening of the TRC. I look forward to working with Advanced Exercise as we add additional pieces of equipment to our facility.
Meeker Recreation Center. Meeker, Colorado.
Heidi Ham . Executive Director .
Laura Emrich with Advanced Exercise was the only fitness equipment representative who listened to our needs, concerns, and community priorities while we were designing the Meeker Recreation Center. Laura put together options for us to choose from based on our budget, our space, and our interest group feedback. Laura worked with us on financing, designing, installing, trouble-shooting, training, and was even here for our grand opening when the public tried the equipment for the first time.
Our remote location was never a problem, as Laura was very accessible by email and phone and visited whenever needed. Laura understood that our needs were specific to our community and the population and never presented us with a stock layout and routine equipment. Laura’s expertise about the line was very helpful in helping us to make decisions from the standpoint of a brand new facility and staff, and she had a wide range of other experts to help us with any IT or accessory questions that we had. Laura provided us with on-site training for our staff, loads of owners’ information, and continues to be a great resource for everything from equipment enhancements to training challenges and questions. I would wholeheartedly recommend Laura and Advanced Exercise for any recreation facility, large or small, in any community.
Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division. Oceanside, California.
Shannon Sellinger. Manager.
As a Manager in the City of Oceanside’s Parks and Recreation Division, I have the responsibility of coordinating and working with many vendors and service providers to ensure our programming and services are well received by the public. The City recently finished construction on a 12,000 square foot recreation facility designed to serve seniors (El Corazon Senior Center). An important component to this project was outfitting a state-of-the-art fitness room that would meet the needs of an older adult demographic. Mario Rodriguez of Advanced Exercise was chosen, through a competitive Request for Proposal process to assist in making this project a success. Mr. Rodriguez’s knowledge and extreme professionalism from the beginning made this decision easy. Furthermore, the product he provided was perfect for both the City’s requirements as well as the needs of the community. From start to finish, the customer service Advanced Exercise provided exceeded my expectations (including showing up at our grand opening) and Mario’s understanding of the proposed equipment and its specific application for senior citizens has made our fitness room a huge success. There has been nothing but praise for the layout, design and product choice and I attribute this to his commitment to choose a combination of pieces that create a comprehensive fitness room.
